About Keel
An AI daily planner built by one person, around one idea: getting back on track matters more than never missing.
Why Keel exists
Most habit apps are built around streaks. Miss a single day and the counter resets to zero — the app treats one bad day as if the last three months never happened. For a lot of people that's exactly the moment they quit.
Keel measures something different: bounce-back rate — how quickly you return to a habit after missing a day. Recovery, not perfection, is what actually predicts lasting habits. That idea shapes the whole product, from the daily AI plan to the way progress is shown.
The iOS app launched in February 2026, followed by the web app, both built and maintained by a single person.
Who makes Keel

Keel is built by Samuel, an indie founder and software developer. He designs, codes, and supports the app himself — there's no growth team, just someone who wanted a planner that doesn't punish a bad week.
The company behind Keel is samko labs, s. r. o.
How we test apps we review
This site publishes comparisons and reviews of other habit and planning apps. For those posts we install and use the competing app hands-on before writing about it, and we try to say plainly where the other app is the better choice.
One thing should always be clear: Keel is our product, and comparisons involving Keel are written by the person who builds it. We disclose that on the comparison pages themselves, and we'd rather lose a reader to a better-fitting app than pretend the trade-offs don't exist.
